Ciao-Manhattan.org was bought late in June before opening up in July. It’s named after Edie Sedgwick’s last film, Ciao! Manhattan released in 1972.
If you have no idea who Edie Sedgwick is, she was Andy Warhol’s muse and a socialite during the ’60s, dying at the age of 28. Check out her Wikipedia for more info. Also, I recommend watching Factory Girl, starring Sienna Miller as Edie. However, some things are misconstrued in the film but still a good starting point for the basis of her life
The description “everybody knows she’s a femme fatale” is a lyric from a song called Femme Fatale by The Velvet Underground and Nico, and it’s an homage to Edie.
The reason why I started this is because I have too many thoughts in my head and I just wanted a place where I can write whatever was in there. Every time I had to do something for Tangled Magazine, I wanted to talk about it but where the hell? So thus, Ciao Manhattan was born. Now you’re stuck reading what I have to say
I had a domain four years ago called StarberryGlitter.net where I hosted some of my fan sites. It still exists but it’s safely unused.
