I just seem annoyed this whole timeAugust 13th, 2008 @ 3:30 pm
I’m knee deep in converting my fan site from HTML to PHP, a new layout and organizing chunks of information that hasn’t been touched since I started so that’s why there have been no posts. I’m still not done but hopefully it’ll be done sometime this week. (EDIT: All finished! http://ryan-gosling.fan-sites.org.) Also, my life’s a bit of bore at the moment.
I went out into the City today to buy my dad a birthday present and also a book for myself. I was going to go to the local mall but when I went to call the bookstore before I left, they completely forgot about my phone call and left me not wanting to go there. I say, “I was wondering if you had Towelhead by Alicia Erian…”, the girl on the other line said she’ll look for it. Then all I hear is her having a long conversation and a little typing then silence. I was getting annoyed because it shouldn’t take this long. Looked on the timer on the phone almost 4 minutes had passed so I hung up. She had obviously forgotten she was on the phone with a customer. Also I called Borders on the way there, boom, got it in a minute. What a great job she’s doing.
I’ve been doing so much driving lately because a family friend has decided to help me out to get my hours up. Yesterday I had a driving lesson with an instructor in the afternoon then had one at night with the family friend. In the night driving, I was driving down these complicated windy roads, so many of them and some asshole beeped at me twice. I was so annoyed because 1) windy roads are difficult to drive in and 2) I could have an accident if I went faster. I think it was the first time I got beeped at as a learner driver. Some people just don’t have patience. I mean, you were an L plater before. They probably didn’t get the last muffin at work or something, that’s why they’re grumpy.
I’ll be seeing Wall-E this week. Most of the time we’re behind on movies in the States. It’s only every now and then we’re at the same wavelength as they are. I’m mildly looking forward to it. Disney animated films aren’t really my thing, especially robots so I’ll see how it goes.

Ouu, I’m looking forward to the new look! I hate when people are so rude… especially on the phone. They never act that way when you’re face to face. How many hours do you have to do for being a learning driver?
The new look is now up on my fan site — finally finished!
I have to do 50 hours and I’ve done about 12 hours I think. Still got a long way to go.
Ish, that’s a lot… I think for my driver’s training we had to do 30 on our own time. But we took a road-trip to South Dakota, so I drove the whole trip and I got a ton of hours for that. I can’t believe California only has 6… That’s sort of a shocker too. Haha.

Wow, sorry to hear about your experience with that girl on the phone… =/ I’ve never had that happen to me before, but I’ve had long waiting/holding times, though.
Wow about driving. Good luck with that! I HATE driving at night! LOL.
Ooh wow, I want to see Wall-E! I have yet to see it! =( Hehe, I’ve heard Wall-E’s pretty good, though.
I don’t like driving at night either. That’s where people are probably the meanest when it comes to learner drivers like me.

Wow…that girl at the book store should get fired. I might sound harsh…but she’s obviously not doing her job very well.

It’s all done and I’m starting to like PHP. I used to hate it before and didn’t want to learn it but now it’s not so bad.
Well actually my friend said I should complain about it but I don’t want to make a big fuss over it no matter how irritating it was.

I wanted to see Wall-E, but then I lost interest…I don’t think they are showing it in theaters anymore…I might be wrong…but it seems like it came out ages ago. My sister saw it and thought it was depressing haha~ I hope you like it~ ^___^
We’re more strict here in Australia than the States so I’m very envious of your system there.
Wall-E was little depressing now that I think about it. It was cute though.

Awww Wall-E’s so cute! Haven’t seen the movie yet though. Oohh I recently saw the Dark Knight, btw. Aaron was great, but I felt they rushed through the Two-Face plot too fast. :/

LOL @ grumpy over not getting the last muffin. Well good luck on your driver’s lessons. I always think that if you aren’t comfortable driving a certain way, then “F” the ones that honk at you. Better you stay safe than obey an obvious dumb a**. Take care & be safe.
I went to your fansite and it looks pretty good. Very much like a fansite design though I’m not a big fan of small text. Sorry for the bad service that you got. It’s actually illegal I think for people to honk at you here in the states for being impatient. I’m a big fan of pixar films wall-e was ok.
The amount of times I’ve hponed someone and been on hold for ages only for them to forget I’m on the line. It even happens at work when I phone other companies!
I hate it when drivers beep at you. I only passed my test a few months back so I can remember what if feels like to be beeped and rushed. xxx
