So sleepy, ready for the Zzzzs
July 13th, 2008 @ 9:18 pm

I can barely keep my eyes open. I’m sleepy but it’s only 8:50pm. I’ve been an insomniac lately, sleeping at 1:30am (*cough*watchingQueerAsFolk*cough*) and now it’s catching up with me. Don’t mind me if the next few sentences don’t make sense….

I met up with my friends and went to the pizza place down the road from me. We just chatted and had our delicious Margharita pizzas and humongous pieces of garlic bread. I always seem to be talking about food in most of my entries so far. It’s one of those things you can’t live without. It was great seeing her and will be seeing her as much as possible before she heads back to college in the next week.

I’m excited for tomorrow because I’ll be seeing The Dark Knight at IMAX :D My friend’s boyfriend is jealous that I’m seeing it before he does (when it comes out here on Wednesday Thursday), and of course I couldn’t help gloat about it for a little bit. Very evil, hehe. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so I’m really looking forward to it, especially seeing Heath’s performance.

Although It’s going to be a bit difficult heading in and out of the City because of World Youth Day. People from almost every country have come here to see The Pope and some other stuff to do that I can’t recall so there’s a gazillion more people here. I see it now…. crossing through the Harbour Bridge to go home at 10pm when the movie finished at 8pm. Hopefully it won’t be too bad.

On the Biography Channel, there’s this amazing documentary series that I came across called the Up! Series. It started in 1964 where they interviewed twelve seven years old kids from England about their hopes and dreams, and they keep interviewing them every 7 years to see the progress in their life. The one I watched is 7 Plus Seven, now at fourteen years old and in 1970. Now they’re up 49 Up! which was released in 2005 and the next one is 56 Up! to be released in 2011 and 2012 according to Wikipedia. I thought it was so interesting because it’s sort of some time capsule or timeline about their lives and the major changes that they go through and it’s there for the whole world to see. Would you do that something like that? If I did that, I would be laughing at myself seeing footage of me at seven years old and thinking “I can’t believe I said that!”. I think it’s one of the greatest pieces of literature I’ve come across so far.

No one will become affiliates with me which sucks. But hey, Ciao Manhattan is just a baby :)
